Your Questions, Answered

In order to find your size for the KINDer, please use a flexible measuring tape and take the following measurements while not wearing any garments that may change the size and shape of your body:
Ribcage circumference: This is the measurement to focus on. Take the circumference of your body around the highest point of your ribcage that is beneath any breast tissue. If you catch any breast tissue in this measurement, sizing may be inaccurate.Overbust circumference: This measurement is NOT the largest part of your bust. Bring your measuring tape underneath your armpits, as far as you can get with your arms forward or out to the side. Now take the circumference of your chest, just below your collarbones, but ABOVE any breast tissue. If any breast tissue is included in the measurement, sizing may be inaccurate.
When determining your size using the size chart, please focus on your ribcage measurement first. This is the main measurement used to find your size. If you have more than a 4 inch difference between your ribcage and overbust, I would suggest going up one size from your matching ribcage measurement. Likewise, if you are larger than a DD cup in normal bra sizes, I would suggest going up one size.

The front exterior of the KINDer is made from 100% cotton broadcloth. The back of the KINDer is made from cotton jersey knit.
The interior is made from stiff cotton fabric, with plastic corset boning, nylon and spandex elastic, and a plastic separating zipper. The interior products will not make contact with the skin.
-
To clean/wash the KINDer, either handwash, or put in the washing machine on a delicate cycle. DO NOT put the KINDer in the dryer, as the boning inside may lose its integrity.

Presuming the Kickstarter is funded, we will be outsourcing production to a manufacturer in order to keep up with demand. We will ensure that whichever manufacturer we choose will be not only ethical, but also able to keep up with the quality we expect. We will still take also a small amount of custom and bespoke orders that will be made by our designers in house, and will be priced higher.
-
The cost of the KINer will be dependent on the cost of creating them. Presuming the Kickstarter is funded and we are able to manufacture the KINDer on a a larger scale, this will lower individual cost per piece. As we have not chosen a manufacturer yet, we do not have a set price, but we are hoping to keep the final price under $75.

We are officially offering international shipping! Based on our current estimates, international shipping will be around the $50 range, moving up or down based on country and location.
Domestic shipping will be in the $20 range, likewise moving up or down depending on precise location.

This answer is completely dependent on the Kickstarter. Should the Kickstarter be successful, the KINDer will be availble for purchase before the year is out (likely much sooner than that, but it will be dependent on our manufacturer). If the Kickstarter is unsuccessful, we will be able to slowly open limited slots to order KINDers that are made by our designers in house. For transparencey, if the Kickstarter is funded, we will be abel to present a minimum of 500 KINDers a month. If the Kickstarter is not funded, we will likely only be able to offer about 5 slots per month.

While we cannot reveal all the details of construction for our invention, we're happy to explain the basics of its functionality! The KINDer uses corseting technology to redistribute breast tissue out and away from the center of the chest to create a flatter and more masculine chest shape. This means that the interior of front of the KINDer is a stiffer cotton material used in coursets, and also has boning attached to it in a pattern that works the opposite way most corset and stays do. While most corseting is designed to accentuate the chest and hips while reducing the waist, the boning channels in the KINDer are designed in such a way that they reduce the chest instead of accentuating it. This boning technique is similiar to the effect of wearing trans tape, but with out having to attach adhesive to your skin.

The KINDer has elastic at the bottom in the interior of the front panels. This helps the KINDer to fit snugly around the ribcage, without compressing, and prevents any spillage during movement.

Please remember that we are fashion designers, not doctors, and we cannot give you medical advice. Please always bind safely and listen to your individual body, as everyone will have different tolerances. While the KINDer does not utilize compression, it is still a method of binding, so please treat it as such. It would be wise to stick to the typical 8-10 hours that traditional binders reccommend, but again, lsten to your body. Through anecdotal experience, our designers have worn their KINDers for well over 12 hours at a time with no ill effects, however, the invention has not existed long enough to be fully aware of the effects of wearing a KINDers consistently in the long term. I cannot state enough times: listen to your body.
