Meet the Designers:
Aremintan Lovell and Theo Topside
Aremintan

Aremintan has been sewing and designing his entire life, from stitching together Halloween costumes, to designing custom bags for schoolbooks, he credits all his knowledge to his mom, the most incredible sewist he knows!
After moving away from home and not having access to a sewing machine for a few years, Aremintan finally grabbed a cheap little machine from Joann’s (RIP) on a Black Friday sale, and was finally able to get sewing again, and he dove in head first! He started making every pattern he could find on Etsy, and finally realized he had too many ideas, too many potential designs in his head, he would just have to teach himself to make his own patterns. He studied pattern drafting videos, reverse engineered patterns both vintage and brand new, began to learn the language of patterns, and in doing so, became so much more interested in the idea of beautifully finished garments. He dove into learning more advanced techniques, French seams, bias binding, hand stitched buttonholes, and he loved every new technique he was able to add to his repertoire.
Now, he heads up the design team at Lovell Fashion, the business he has founded. Always the idea guy, he comes up with more visions than can be created all at once, but eagerly attempts to create as many as he can! He is very grateful for the chance to be able to do what he loves every day, and is so thankful to everyone who has supported this journey so far. He’s excited to see what is to come in the next few years, and onward!
Theo

Theo is a lifelong creative and fibercrafter who started sewing seriously during the pandemic, and who has a particular love for hand sewing and taking the slow way make a garment.
Having learned the basics as a child, making masks to donate during lockdown served as both a way to pass the time and a way to give back to local community. From there it kept looking at other projects and saying “I bet I could do that,” and doing everything in its power to pull it off. Given the lack of a sewing machine and the lack of ability to leave the house for non-essentials, each project was an experience in making do from the get go, and resulted in strong drafting, draping, and hand-sewing skills that have served it well in the time since.
It finds inspiration a wide variety of places, from historical sewing to counterculture styles, and enjoys throwing its many creative influences together in ways that might not be particularly traditional for any of them.
Working as Assistant Designer at Lovell Fashion, it brings all of its influences and foundational knowledge in to offer new and unusual perspectives on classic ideas, and a sharp eye for drafting new patterns.
